The State In Which We Find Ourselves

Following on from a busy 2016, which included assembling a compilation in aid of Musicians Without Borders and the release of his BBC-Introducing-featured EP, Museum, Walton continues to explore themes of dystopia, humanity and the modern world, accumulating in a deeply personal collection of atmospheric songs. Echoing the lyrics, Dan produces sonic landscapes of searing guitar lines and haunting drums, always accented with his unique vocal delivery.

For this project, Dan recruited musicians from around the south-west including Ten Tombs’ Jack Quance, Dom Watton and Jamie Cairney as well as Anthony Grant (King Solomon), Mike Smith (PJ Harvey, Gorillaz, Blur) and regular collaborator, Lucy Gray. Mastering was handled Jon Astley (The Who, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones).
